The opening hole is a medium length dogleg right which requires a tee shot through a chute of mature pine to a wide landing area surrounded by two strategically placed bunkers. The approach shot must avoid the two deep bunkers that guard the front of the green, which falls off at the rear. Three large spruce trees provide a backdrop to the green site.
