Island Springs Golf Course is an 18 - hole championship golf course located on St. Joseph Island, approximately 45 kilometres east of Sault Ste. Marie. The front nine which opened for play in the summer of 2001, is a par 36 layout that measures 3350 yards from the championship tees to 2,700 yards from the forward tees. The course incorporates the topographic and natural features of the site, with mature trees framing the fairways and incredible scenic vistas of the Island. The tree lined fairways are generous and playable, while the large greens are strategically bunkered and gently contoured.
